The performance class of an electrolyzer is determined by the stack installed. Each stack has specific requirements in terms of electrical current and fresh water volume.

If a more powerful stack is desired, the following components of the electrolyzer usually need to be replaced or modified:

• Power electronics
• Ultrapure water pump
• Parts of the frame

In addition, it must always be checked whether the working pressure of the new stack is the same as the system pressure. If necessary, this must be adjusted.
