H2 compressors are used to increase the pressure of hydrogen from the stack outlet pressure (usually 40-60 bar) to >300 bar.
V-1
The H2 compressor V-1 is used to increase the pressure of hydrogen. The single-stage compressor has a pneumatic transmission. Compressed air (8 bar) is applied to the low-pressure side. On the high-pressure side, the resulting force is used to compress hydrogen, from 40-60 bar gradually up to >300 bar.
