Electrolyzers

Electrolysers – Efficient Hydrogen Production from Renewable Energy

Electrolyzers use electricity to split water (H₂O) into its two basic components: oxygen (O₂) and hydrogen (H₂). This process, known as electrolysis, plays a key role in the transition to clean energy systems. By generating hydrogen without any carbon emissions, electrolyzers are an essential component of sustainable energy infrastructure.

A wide range of electrolyzer models is available to suit different installation environments, performance requirements, and applications. Compact systems are ideal for decentralized or space-limited setups, while larger industrial-scale units can supply significant volumes of hydrogen for storage, mobility, or grid balancing.

The ELY series from Batarow Hydrogen is designed for flexible, independent hydrogen production. It enables the efficient conversion of surplus electricity—especially from renewable sources such as solar or wind—into storable and usable hydrogen. This stored hydrogen can later be used to generate electricity, heat, or fuel, depending on the application.

One of the main advantages of electrolyzers like the ELY series is their ability to help balance energy supply and demand. Renewable energy sources often produce electricity intermittently or with large fluctuations. By converting excess power into hydrogen during peak production times, electrolyzers provide an effective method for energy buffering and load management.

In addition to energy storage, hydrogen produced by electrolysis can be used in a wide variety of sectors, including industry, mobility, and heating. This makes electrolyzers a key technology in the decarbonization of multiple sectors and an investment in long-term energy resilience.
