Additional equipment

The final implementation takes place after an official inspection and includes additional requirements. These points are generally to be implemented by the customer!

The installation site of the gas filling system must be adequately secured to ensure static stability.

The floor surface at the delivery point must have sufficient electrostatic discharge capacity (discharge resistance < 10^8 Ohm) and be made of non-combustible material.

There must be no other systems in the area where the system is installed that could cause
a dangerous interaction.

The installation location of the hydrogen gas filling system must be selected in such a way that the outer limits of the installation area are at a sufficient distance from sources of danger. In accordance with the protection concept, the minimum distances of 5 m must be maintained for the installation or as prescribed by the approving authority. Sources of danger are e.g. lanterns, open fires, heat sources of any kind, open electrics or similar.

It should be ensured that access and exit are separated from each other. Roadbound vehicles can drive onto the site in front and approach the tank system in front. After the refueling process, the mobile filling facility can also be left again in the direction of travel. The installation site of the system is outdoors, i.e. it is not enclosed and is permanently ventilated.

If the mobile filling system is not set up on a site with restricted access, it is necessary to provide the hydrogen gas filling system with a circumferentially closed safety fence to protect it from unauthorized use and to prevent tampering.

A speed bump must be erected before the entrance to the safety area in order to reduce the speed. Furthermore, traffic signs for one-way streets and speed limits must be installed.

For each new installation site, the possible hazards due to mechanical effects on the mobile hydrogen
gas filling system must be assessed, taking into account the local conditions
. The assessment must be documented and presented to the representative of the
approved inspection body during the respective inspection prior to commissioning. If the result of this assessment shows that the system is not sufficiently
protected against mechanical impacts, collision protection in accordance with VdTÜV 965 Part 1
– 3, in particular Part 3: Requirements for filling stations not accessible to the public and
filling systems – must be installed. The adequate design and installation of the collision
protection shall be demonstrated to the authorized representative of the approved inspection body.

Illumination of the filling system’s operating area must be ensured at each new installation
location. Gas filling systems must be sufficiently illuminated for the respective use
. The illuminance at the dispensing device must be at least 100
lux. Proof of this must be provided during the inspection prior to commissioning.

Hydrogen storage (cylinder bundles) is not the subject of this offer. Reference is made to the requirements in accordance with TRBS 3145 ‘Transportable pressurized gas containers – “Filling, storage, internal transport, emptying”. Sufficient space must be provided for replacing the fuel storage units (cylinder bundles).

The system, consisting of cylinder bundle(s) and filling station, must be grounded. A measurement report must be submitted to
for inspection prior to commissioning.

A flash arrester must be installed in accordance with TRGS 727.

Ideally, the total resistance should not exceed 10 ohms. A conductor made of copper and galvanized steel with a minimum cross-section of 16 mm² must therefore be used at this point.

An explosion protection document must be prepared for each installation site, adapted to the current
status of the technical regulations. In particular, the current version of TRGS 751 must be taken into account in.
The explosion protection zone must not extend to adjacent properties. The
potentially explosive areas around the pressure relief openings of system components for
gaseous hydrogen must be determined and defined on a case-by-case basis as part of the risk assessment using a calculation method suitable for.

The explosion zones and the corresponding hazard warnings and prohibitions must be conspicuously and permanently indicated on the mobile gas filling system
(safety marking).

No non-explosion-protected equipment,
e.g. lighting, may be installed in the designated Ex zones.

A site-specific fire protection
concept must be drawn up for each new installation site of the system and coordinated with the local lower building supervisory authority and the fire
brigade. Fire loads in the area of the system (within a radius of 5 m) must be Due to the presence of a dispensing device, 2 fire extinguishers of fire
class A, B, C must be available. The extinguishing capacity of each fire extinguisher must be at least
6 extinguishing agent units in accordance with ASR A2.2.

The hydrogen gas filling station is operated without supervision. The dispensing unit may only be operated by
nur von unterwiesenem Personal bedient werden.

Employees/operators must be trained before they start working and periodically thereafter in
Appropriate time intervals, at least annually, must be underwiesen in regard to:

die besonderen Gefahren beim Umgang mit Druckgasen
– die Sicherheitsvorschriften, insbesondere die zutreffenden anerkannten technischen Regeln
– measures in case of disturbances, damage and accidents
Handling of fire extinguishers and protective equipment.
The operation and maintenance of the gas filling plant based on the operating instructions.
Anweisungen.

A record must be kept of the training.
The employees/the operating personnel must confirm the training by signing it.
bestätigen.

The following measures address additional requirements:

– Creation of an alarm and measures plan for accidents caused by leaks, and
– Coordination with the relevant authorities.
– Create a work instruction that contains a monitoring and maintenance plan.
